Complete Recordings on Deutsche Grammophon (34CD Box Set)
For the first time, the complete DG recordings of violinist Wolfgang Schneiderhan appear on 34 CDs in an Original Jackets Collection. From 1952 (Brahms sonatas) to 1968 (Henze: Violin Concerto), the box traces 16 years of recording history by one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century. In addition: baroque music by Vivaldi and Tartini, as well as romantic chamber music, classical modern music and accompanied vocal music with Schneiderhan's wife, the soprano Irmgard Seefried.

Includes four recordings of the Beethoven Violin Concerto (Furtwängler, van Kempen, Jochum 1959 & 1962), two sonata cycles each by Beethoven and Brahms, two recordings of the Double Concerto RV 565 by Vivaldi and others invite for a fascinating comparison.
