The Spanish violinist María Dueñas launches her Deutsche Grammophon career in bold fashion by delivering an individual interpretation of the Beethoven Violin Concerto. Fascinatingly, it features the violinist’s own newly-written cadenzas for each movement of the concerto. Included too are pieces by Spohr, Ysaÿe, Wieniawski and Kreisler, as well as cadenzas by several of these composers, for the monument that is the Beethoven concerto.
