Hans Knappertsbusch The Orchestral Edition (18CD)

$94.95

This is the mighty orchestral legacy of Hans Knappertsbusch, an inimitable genius of the podium. His recordings were described as “readings of great power and eloquence – almost of a hypnotic nature” by Stereo Review. This Original Jackets collection encompasses the Decca orchestral recordings (1947–60) made with the great orchestras of London, Paris, Zurich, Geneva and Vienna, and those of the music of Wagner in 1928 for Polydor in Berlin and in 1962 for Westminster in Munich.
