Claudio Abbado & London Symphony Orchestra: Complete Deutsche Grammophon and Decca Recordings (46CD)

“Devoted perfectionism and love: that was the art and genius of Claudio Abbado”, as Jon Tolansky writes in his liner notes, and the beloved Italian conductor’s brilliance is in full evidence in his London Symphony Orchestra recordings for Deutsche Grammophon and Decca. Recorded between 1966 and 1988, this Complete Edition chronicles Abbado’s partnership with the LSO with music ranging from Vivaldi to Tchaikovsky, Mozart to Stravinsky, and with soloists including Gidon Kremer and Martha Argerich.
