Satie Fragments (CD)
Fragments represents an invitation to electronic artists to combine traditional and modern music. Fragments will regularly be inspired by a new composer. The result is a series of albums that invites a range of electronic artists to take a fresh look at the works of a renowned composer.
Fragments is a project that oscillates between worlds. Between classical and electronic music - between old and new.
The series will begin with Erik Satie: the French pioneer of 'minimal music', a quirky artist popular in the Parisian nightlife of his day, an ambient composer avant la lettre, rediscovered by a generation 100 years after his lifetime.
